Tag | The Liebster Award

Hey everyone, so I was tagged by the lovely Charlotte to do the Liebster award tag thingy :)

Heres a link to her blog:

http://charlottesweb8.blogspot.co.uk

I'm really new to blogging and things so I'm hoping I'm doing this all right :)

So basically from what I've read if you are tagged you have to answer the questions set by the person you were tagged by and so on.
It is aimed for bloggers with under 200 followers and you have to tag 10 more bloggers to do the questions you've made up :)
Unfortunately I've only been on here for a few weeks so I don't know really any blogs so I'm sorry for not carrying this on but I will still answer the questions :)

My answers to Charlottes questions : -

Q - 1. If you could just buy clothes from one shop for the rest of your life where would it be?
A - So this is super hard but I would probably say topshop because I absolutely love all their clothing even though it can be a bit pricey at times /:

Q - 2. All time favourite makeup brand?
A - So this is super hard too and I'm trying to think of the most makeup products I have from one brand but I guess I would say my top three makeup brands are MAC, Collection and MUA I'm sorry I just can't pick.

Q - 3. Who is your biggest style icon?
A - My biggest style icon I would say is Mary Kate and Ashley & Kylie Jenner, all their styles are quite similar and I absolutely love their uniqueness.

Q - 4. Who is your favourite blogger?
A - As I said I don't know many bloggers but I absolutely love Islays blog because her pictures are such good quality and every things explained really well :)
Heres her link:
http://www.islaay.com

Q - 5. What is your  favourite nail polish brand?
A - My favourite nail polish brand by far is Sinful Colors because their really great quality and super affordable, they're only 1.99 how could you pass that up?!

Q - 6. If you had £1000 what would you buy first?
A - I would buy basically everything on my wishlist which is:
  • Topshop Mom jeans
  • MAC lipstick in - Up the Amp & Rebel
  • MAC - Soft and gentle
  • White Urban ears headphone
  • Black buckled boots from Topshop
  • Lemon Yellow jumper from Topshop
  • White Polaroid Camera
Q - 7. If you could have any designer bag, which would you choose?
A - I would 100% choose a Louis Vuitton Speedy

Q - 8. What is your favourite/ most worn item of clothing?
A - This is definitely my denim jacket from Topshop, I literally wear it everyday because it goes with everything and I absolutely love it!

Q - 9. Who is your biggest inspiration?
A - I honestly wouldn't say I have a biggest inspiration to be honest.

Q - 10. What is your dream job?
A - My dream job would be anything to do with photography and taking pictures or anything to do with making things or being creative that is my comfort zone and I feel like I'm at my best when I'm being creative :)

So those are all the questions, thank you so much for tagging me Charlotte this was really fun to do and made me think a lot too! haha :)

Cheap Beauty Buy : Superdrug Coconut & Sweet Almond Shampoo + Conditioner!!

For my recent holiday my mum and I decided to go into Superdrug to find a shampoo and conditioner to take with us, we went to the shampoo section and straight away I was drawn to the coconut shampoos. Coconut is my favourite scent for anything and what would be better than coconut scented shampoo and conditioner??

I picked up the Superdrugs own brand Coconut & Sweet Almond Shampoo + Conditioner for 99p each!!! For 99p each I wasn't expecting much at all but I was pleasantly surprised, this shampoo and conditioner doesn't just smell amazing I really saw a difference in my hair which is more than I can say for the more expensive shampoo and conditioners I've tried!!

The packaging isn't the best but what can you expect for a 99p shampoo + conditioner!
Its simple and straight to the point which is good because you don't just buy a product for the packaging you buy it for the product.

I real feel like this product makes a difference in my hair, it makes it smell really good ( the smell is faint and not very strong though) and I definitely feel like my hair is much shinier and feels healthier.
It definitely does what is says on the bottle!!

My only one concern for this product is the shampoo container, to get it out of the bottle you have to pour it into your hand, like any regular shampoo but because the lid is a screw on it makes it a bit difficult in putting it back on. If you are like me and don't have a shelf to put your shower products it can be quite difficult to put the lid back on while having a hand of shampoo and you can waste a bit of the product.
This isn't a very big deal as it is so cheap but as this is a review I have to say my honest opinions of this and what they can do to improve the product.
I really love the fact the conditioner has a pump so I can easily put it into my hand and I wish that they had done the same for the shampoo, but thats my only concern for this product which is quite small!!

Pros + Cons:-

Pros:
- Very affordable
- Does what it claims to do
- Makes hair smell really good
- Gives shiny and the appeal of healthier hair

Cons:-
- You can waste alot of product with the shampoo
- Leaves a faint smell of coconuts in hair

Overall I think this is an absolutely wonderful product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good shampoo and conditioner!
I'm sorry I havn't posted in awhile as I have been on holiday and enjoying my summer!!

Thanks for reading!!

Haul-ish thing- My Recent Purchases

Today is my first haul on my blog, I'm pretty sure I can call it a haul but I'm new to this blogging thing so I dont know haha :)
This is more of a collective haul of things I've purchased over a few weeks :)

On to the products...

So the first things I purchased were from Primark.
I picked up the natural look lashes and the polka dot nail wraps. I havn't tried either of these products but they caught my attention and I thought I would give them a try :)

Natural Look Lashes - £1

Polka Dot Nail Wraps - £1

Next I purchased from Primark some super cute sunglasses I have had my eye on for ages. I know a few people on instagram and youtube who have these and when I saw them I just had to pick them up. I got them in mint green and lilac (which is the only colours they currently sell).

Sunglasses - £1 ( I know right!! so cheap )

So I've pretty much been obsessed with buying sunglasses at the minute (especially circle ones) I really wanted some small ozzy osbourne styled sunglasses so I looked on ebay.
I found these and immediately bought them, they're exactly the style I wanted and I'm really happy with them.

Sunglasses - £2.99

From Primark I also purchased these neutral coloured flip flops with nude bows.
I desperately needed some more summer shoes so I thought Primark would be the perfect place because they're so affordable and have so many shoes to choose from!

Flip Flops - £2.50

Another item I needed for my holiday was a bikini so I bought one in Primark as well.
To be completely honest their range wasn't very good at all, there was a lot of triangle shaped bikinis, with gaudy patterns which wasn't my taste at all.
Then I saw this completely plain white bikini and fell in love, its so simplistic yet so pretty and white makes you look really tan (which I'm definitely not haha) I also got the plain bottoms to go with it but didn't really see any need to post a picture of that too :)

Bikini - £4

Next from h&m I purchased this absolutely gorgeous tropical patterned bikini.
I am especially in love with this because of the shape and style.
Its in many ways like a bra and gives good support and looks very flattering.
It has removable straps so you could wear it as a bandeau top by simply unclipping the straps. I absolutely love the colour and pattern of this bikini and can't wait to wear it!
I also got the bottoms to match but again didn't see the point in posting a picture :)

Bikini Top - £9.99

From topshop I purchased some vintage high waisted cut off levi shorts.
They are from the 'Loving Youth' range which I have never seen before, but I believe its just a lot of vintage, retro pieces. Unfortunately these shorts are quite big on me as the only size left was a 12 but I can easily make it work by adding a brown chunky belt.
It has the two pockets on the front and on the back, one pocket has a floral pattern which I absolutely love!
These shorts are very simple and that it what I wanted, some simple high waisted shorts that would go with anything! :)

Levi Shorts - £28

Something else I have recently bought is from the Cath Kidston shop.
To be honest I'm really not a fan of Cath Kidston products because in my opinion I feel like the items are very overpriced but are really pretty.
They currently have a 50-70% sale going on which I had to take advantage of.
Nothing really caught my eye that I desperately wanted until I saw this gadget case. It is a very pretty lilac blue with a strawberry pattern, which I find adorable.
This gadget case fits my phone absolutely perfectly which is what I intend on using it for. For my holiday I'm going to put my phone (the iPhone 4) and money in it and carry it on my wrist, it has a very convenient strap and also has a neck strap so you can wear it around your neck too.
I really recommend going to your local Cath Kidston shop and having a look at the products because you can get some really good deals!

Strawberry Patterned Gadget Case - £7

The very last item I have to show you is one of my most loved purchases.
This should bring back a lot of nostalgia to many people because I know it did for me as I used to always wear jelly shoes when I was young.
This type of jelly shoe is called a 'Ju Ju' I have heard a lot about these types of jelly shoes and decided to invest in some myself.
They are definitely not everyones cup of tea but you will never know until you try! If you see them around I would say go for it and try it because you might end up loving it!
For where you can purchase these I had a look on the JuJu website but I couldn't seem to find anywhere you could buy them on the website.
I did a bit more research but nothing came up, I turned to instagram and asked if anyone knew where I could find these and someone replied telling me that Debenhams stock them and they're on sale!!
I was extremely excited and my mum went in the next day and picked up the last mint green JuJu's in my size! it was destiny that me and them were to be together.. :D
They're also extremely comfy and I plan on wearing them everyday on holiday woo wooo :)
I believe you can also find these in River Island and topshop in various colours :)

JuJu Jelly Shoes - £15 (sale price)

So guys thats my haul complete (took a loooong time to type this up haha) I'm hoping to film a video to go along with this video which I will link somewhere when it's up.
I am thoroughly enjoying blogging recently and I want to try to post something everyday this week just to test the waters of the blogging world.
If you have any questions about any of these products feel free to comment and if you want a review I will be more than happy too :)

DIY: Fringe Tops

I decided to do another DIY post for something extremely easy to do with an old top that you either don't like or maybe has gotten too small and want to spice it up a bit :)

Equipment you will need:

  • Top
  • Scissors

1. Place top on flat surface and flatten it out

2. Cut a straight line from the bottom as long as you want your fringe pieces to be

3. Then start cutting strips, pull on the strip and twist and this will form your fringe piece

4. Repeat this until you have completed the whole top

The finished product...

Enjoy and let me know if you try it :)
